Initially a Rive Gauche affair, the 2nd edition of this event has now spread to most other parts of Paris as well…
The event is organised by Chez Higgins, a gallery in Saint Germain that prints limited edition books of the photographers it exposes, and is a smart way of seeing a lot of interesting photo exhibitions in a short time.
Although some of the exhibitions are open during most of June, the main event happens over the weekend of 14th/15th June when over 60 galleries will open their doors.
Why not check out Lagerfeld’s pictures of Paris at the 7L Gallery (7 rue de Lille, Paris 7th arrondissement)… …François Rousseau’s refined photos of French Polynesia(ns) at the Galerie Pierre-Alain Challier (8 rue Debelleyme, Paris 3rd arrondissement)… …the mysterious, out of focus shots by Anne Deguelle at Galerie Dix9 (19 rue des Filles du Calvaire, Paris 3rd arrondissement)… …or Cédric Porchez’s astonishing shots of insects at the Galerie Brasilia (19 rue Charlemagne, Paris 4th arrondissement). There will also be a special sale of second hand books – including many stalls specialising in photography – at the Marché Brancion (104 rue Brancion, Paris 15th arrondissement), just on the edge of the Parc Georges Brassens.
You can check out the full programme on the official site here (not yet updated) or below (click on the yellow circle top right for a larger version). Looks like a real weekend of treats for photo fans.
