The fountains of the Parc de Saint-Cloud

We promised we’d show you more of this exceptional park and its extraordinary fountains. Read on for our films and photos!

We’ve given you the lowdown this park before (read all about it here), mentioning that it is huge (40% bigger than Central Park) and that the giant fountains are only switched on three times on Sundays during June.

As promised, we’ve now gone and had a look round ourselves, and we weren’t disappointed! There’s plenty of space for everyone (unlike most of the parks in Paris) with calm woody areas, hills, flowers, sculpted gardens, a great view and those amazing fountains… Makes Versailles look like a sad tourist trap…

Here are our films of the fountains being turned on. First, the Grande Cascade…

…and the other fountains to be seen nearby…

Don’t forget, there’s still time to see the fountains working, and the free film festival is coming up very very soon. And any day, the park is great for relaxing and getting some well needed oxygen.

You can see all our photo (lots more great things to see!) here on the Flickr gallery, ou very small versions just below.
