Planning on staying out late on the 31st? Good for you! As usual, Paris’ public transport will be running all night… for free! Here’s all the details…

Public transport in Paris for the night of 31st December 2008
Métro
Will work normally until 2.15am, then reduced servic (with not all station open) on lines 1,2,4,9 and 14. You can download the metro map for the night here.
RER / trains
Trains and RER all night, but frequency is reduced and extremely variable depending on where you are going (between four trains an hour and three train for the entire night!). You can download the plan with all the details here.
Bus
Lots of bus lines will be working, but instead of leaving from Châtelet the departures are spread out between Gare de l’Est, Gare St-Lazare, Gare Montparnasse and Gare de Lyon. The bus lines that usually circle or cross Paris will not be in operation. You can download the night’s bus map here.
All public transport will be free from 5pm on 31st December until midday on 1st January
