Over 600 m², Crime’Xhib, science investigates (Crim’expo, la science enquête) is split into several very particular parts: the crime scene, the eight scientific laboratories for discovering clues, and four zones to help finish off the investigation (facial composite, questioning, charging and the epilogue).

You visit the ‘crime scene’ and find that each police team has already done its job: the place is marked out, the clues have been picked up and the outline of the body is drawn on the ground. The elements has all been collected: bullet shells, traces of blood, fibres, micro-fibres, fingerprints and footprints have all been bagged and sent to various laboratories for testing… These will be useful all through the exhibition in order to check the validity of suspect’ stories and solve the case.

Tour the eight technical police laboratories who make use of the best chemical, biological and physical research. Take on the role of detective, legal dentist, entomologist, ballistics experts, perform an autopsy… You will observe, do experiments and amass a large amount of important information that will progressively help you to form your hunch.
Then it’s time for the investigation, the final part of the exhibition. With the help of mugshots, a recreation the crime scene and suspect questioning the time has come to reveal both the motive and the name of the culprit.
A serious and fun exhibition that looks very interesting indeed. Plus, it’s in three languages (French, English & Spanish) making it accessible to foreign visitors. Hurrah !
