For two weeks there’s a large choice of interesting events programmed for the Festival des Cultures Juives, whose theme this year is America. Every day, in various venues in the 3rd and 4th arrondissements, you can go to a private showing of a new exhibition, listen to a jazz concert or take an unusual guided tour.

From the large number of event on offer, here’s a quick selection:

- Homage to Anne Frank in the garden named after her on Friday 12 June, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of her birth (you can see our latest photos of the garden here). More information here.

- Showing of The Frisco Kid by Robert Aldrich (starring Harrison Ford!) at the Café des Psaumes, 4ème arrondissement on Monday 15th June at 5pm.

- Guided tour of the Mahzike Adath synagogue, the oldest in Paris, at 6pm sharp on the 15th, 17th, 18th, 23rd and 24th Jun (please be on time and wear respectable clothing).

- Two exhibitions about New York, another on the stars of Hollywood…

- A concert by Les Yiddish Balkans on Broadway (promises to be an interesting mix) on 21st June, the day of the Fête de la Musique, on the square in front of the town hall of the 3rd arrondissement (more information here)

- Special Woody Allen night on 24th June at the town hall of the 3rd arrondissement (more information here)

- A guided walk around Jewish American Paris on Sunday 28th June (more information here)

- and for a really unforgettable evening, we recommend you go pick up your free invitation for the grand opening night in the reception rooms of Paris’ Hôtel de Ville, with two free concerts in the most amazing setting.
