9th edition of the Cinéma au clair de lune film festival
from 5th – 23rd August 2009 (and it’s free!)

Art and Culture

Does the open air film festival at the Villette seem too far to go for a free film? Then why not let cinema come to you instead. This film festival, with around a dozen screenings, sets up shop on various squares around Paris with a giant inflatable screen, and doesn’t cost a penny! Here’s the programme and the map…

There’s definitely no shortage of film festivals in Paris at the moment. After Paris Cinéma, la Fête du Cinéma and le Festival de film en plein air de la Villette, now there’s the Festival cinéma au clair de lune organised by the Forum des Images and the Paris city council.

During the month of August you’ll be able to catch up on a few French classics… in the open air. Obviously you’ll need a little French, and if rains don’t even bother: the show will be cancelled.

Here’s the programme. Click on each address to see it on a map.
