La Rentrée du Cinéma 2009 –
4 days of mega cheap movies in Paris in September

Art and Culture

The holidays may be over for some, but all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, n’est-ce pas?, How about a change of ideas with this special cinema offer then: from Sunday 13th to Wednesday 16th September 2009 you can see any film in Paris for just 4 euros!

The National Federation of French Cinemas is trying very hard to get people back into cinemas in September, actually the weakest month of the year for ticket sales.

With showings at 4 euros during four days, there’s no excuse to go see a movie! The only comment we could make is that despite the offer running an extra day (compared to last year), the price has risen from 3.50€. Bah!

If you don’t know which cinema to pick, we really love the Max Linder Panorama on the Grands Boulevards (here), a really cool 600-seater with a huge screen, great sound and digital projections (when a digital copy is available)… Plus, the films are always in their original language, rather than dubbed into French (yuk!).

Anyway, here’s the trailer of the event. Make the most of it!

La Rentrée du Cinéma starts Sunday 13th September. Click here for the official site (in French).
