The Salon du Collectionneur (Collector’s Fair)
at the Grand Palais in Paris
from 11th – 20th September 2009
If you like looking at art… and then buying it, this biennial art fair is for you. And with the splendid Grand Palais as the setting, how could you resist ?

Founded in 2003 (at the Louvre) and orginsed by the French National Union of antique sellers, the Salon du Collectionneur spans 4.000 m2 and includes 125 galleries from all over the world selling between 10,000 and 15,000 objects dating from archaeological times to the present day.

25,000 to 35,000 visitors are expected, and let’s hope – for the organiser’s sake – that their wallets haven’t been emptied by the current economic crisis. Even if they have, don’t worry: you can always buy the poster of the event for a measly 10 euros!

You allude to this art sale going on in September. I am new to Paris and it would be helpful to give more information: like time, type of art, if there is an admission cost etc Merci beaucoup

Thanks for your comment. I’ve just added the admission charge (which is not stated on the official site!). All the other information that you require is already in the article (opening time, type of art…). No other information is available unfortunately.
