Cutlog – a new art fair ‘off’ the FIAC
at the Bourse du Commerce in Paris
from 22nd – 25th October 2009
The success of the FIAC has spawned a few interesting hangers-on, like Cutlog, where thirty-odd small galleries will be showing their artistic wares in the impressive setting of the Bourse du Commerce, in Les Halles…

Fred Lebain, A New York Spring, 2009
The venue is well chosen: a great building, 1.000m² of exhibition space, not far from the cour carrée of the Louvre (where part of the FIAC is being held)… there are even free shuttle buses to the Grand Palais every 15 minutes. Handy!
The event strives to be alternative and a complement to the FIAC, specialising in new and upcoming galleries and artists. A prize for « the most surprising artist » will be attributed by a jury of industry professionals.

Dominique Tarlé, The Rolling Stones, Nice
We should also mention in passing that our photographer friends Frédéric Lebain and Frédéric Delangle will be on show (thanks to the Philippe Chaume gallery). However, the event is not just photography: paintings, sculptures and installations will be on show too.
Cutlog is at the Bourse du Commerce (here) from 22nd – 25th October 2009. Open Thursday 22nd from 2 – 9pm, Friday 23rd from 11am – 7pm, Saturday from midday – 10pm and Sunday 25th from 11am – 6pm. Admission 7€.
