You could be forgiven for thinking thay Iranian photography is dour and serious. Luckily, their are talented photographers like Jalal Sepehr to sweep away such preconceptions with his photos full of colour and playfulness. In fact, the Fanoos site that he co-founded in 2003 is dedicated to promoting Iranian photography by showing the hidden talent and diversity on offer in thsi country that seems so very far away to us.
