Drawings by André, an exhibition at Colette
from 1st – 27th February 2010
Graffiti artists, then ‘proper’ artists, then clubber and nightclub entrepreneur, André has been spreading his talent around Paris for a while now, whether we wanted it or not, and his new exhibition of black and white scribbles drawings is at the most hyped shop in the galaxy, Colette…
He came from the streets, grappled his way up the social ladder by way of the Champs Elysée (and his club Le Baron) and now he’s having a little rest at Paris’ hilarious hub of hype, Colette. Ladies and Gentlemen, André is in the building.
For this new exhibition, he’ll be showing around thirty black and white drawings of all sizes, as well as – wait for it – « some surprises ». Maybe he means the prices?
And although many of Colette’s customers may be arrogant, laughable and rude, the people working there are genuinely nice! Go down there; you’ll be shocked!
André’s ‘Drawings’ exhibition is at Colette (here) from 1st – 27th February. Open every day except Sunday from 11am – 7pm.
