The 2010 Paris Techno Parade,
Saturday 25th September 2010
Spring is here, Summer isn’t that far off, but you better believe that September is already in the starting blocks! For clubbers, the Paris Techno Parade – held at the end of September each year – is an event not to be missed with over 400,000 people taking part. It’s a crazy scene to behold (bring your earplugs Granny!). We have the first bits of info for the 2010 edition…
Hate techno? Don’t worry, there are plenty of other styles being played at the techno Parade (although don’t expect Chpoin, obviously). However, if the idea of 400,000 deranged club kids with whistles gives you goose bumps, we’re happy to reassure you that you can easily avoid the madness if you want.
However, for those who want to get into the thick of it, it’s the event of the year! Tens of different floats, club nights all over the place, famous DJs in town, and non-stop partying all weekend.
DOn’t forget that if watching the Parade go by can be quite amusing, you can also take part by organising your own float. Just go to the site of Technopol – the association that organises the event – to find out what you have to do (you’ll need to speak decent French though). You should also know that you’ll probably need sponsors to help pay your costs, and Technopol requires payment for security, but if you’re motivated, anything’s possible!
We’ll give you more information about the route and club nights for the 2010Techno Parade nearer the date. For the moment, just note it down in your diaries and get ready!
