Superb photos of the Panthéon by parisdeuxième
A Parisian experience, Our favourite things, Photography
For his irreverential blog - Paris 2ème – Cedric has the courage to lug his Canon EOS 450D around Paris (and a few other cities) and take some amazing shots. It’s a much bigger beast than the camera we usually use for the blog, so we understand the effort he makes, especially as the resulting photos are often astonishing. His view of the city and his sense of humour are something a little new, and when we saw that he had recently visited the Pantheon, we couldn’t resist sharing his experience with you…
You no doubt know that we have two hotels – the Hôtel du Panthéon and the Hôtel des Grands Hommes – that overlook the Panthéon. From the upper floor you have an amazing view of the building and the rooftops of Paris, with Sacré Cœur in the distance. Despite having already visited the pantheon itself (obviously), we were really surprised by the photos of the interior taken by the blog parisdeuxième.
Maintained by Cedric, originally from Luxembourg but currently in Paris studying architecture (and art=?), he documents the quirkiness of the city, its fashionistas, its toilets abandoned on the pavement (!), its museums and monuments… all with a cheeky but always intelligent sense of humour.
With his eye for detail, Cedric manages to show the city in a different light, and his photos of the Panthéon have a refreshing perspective, lending even more atmosphere to a building that already has it in spades.
During his visit, Cedric paid special attention to the place’s statues, architectural details, fresques, even the floor. These are not your average holiday photos…

Apparently, with a hundred photos already online, Cedric is planning to upload even more (he took quite a few!). You can see the shots on Flickr or by watching the slideshow below. Click the play button, followed by the four little arrows bottom right (to go into fullscreen mode).
And don’t forget to check out www.parisdeuxieme.com. Thanks Cedric!
