A new exhibition in September, called Settembre, showcasing the work of a photographer who took part in our photo project last September!

Settembre 04 - Jean-François Spricigo

If you want to see Jean-François Spricigo’s contribution to our photo project, you just have to click here, but if you’d like to see his work in the proper setting of a gallery, you can go down to Agathe Gaillard’s and admire them close up. As Jean-François is in the running for this year photo prize, we’re really pleased that his show is more or less at the same time as ours (for all the info about the PHPA 2010 exhibition, click here.

Settembre 01 - Jean-François Spricigo

If you do go, you’ll see his very particular treatment of black and white, almost damaged-looking sometimes, that gives a haunting feel to his photos. Perhaps it’s because (as his mini-biog says) he « lives between France and Belgium, loves animals and is trying to understand the world »!

Settembre 02 - Jean-François Spricigo

Settembre by Jean-François Spricigo is at the Galerie Agathe Gaillard (here) from 8th September – 23rd October 2010. Open from Tuesday – Saturday, from 2 – 7pm. Free.
