You may know the shocking images of Goldin’s The Ballad of Sexual Dependency, but this is probably the first time you will have seen them as backdrop for a slightly burlesque concert by English group the Tiger Lillies. Or perhaps the music is more a backdrop for the photos?…It’s a daring hybrid project that’s caught our attention; a concert, with photos, and not any old shots. Nan Golding has already tried her hand at theatrical stagings, but this is probably the first time that they have been married with a full length concert.

Apparently, the Tiger Lillies have a selection of surrealist songs to offer us, much in the style of some sort of crazy cabaret. By turns dark or extravagant, the music and images should meld together in a kind of wonderful alchemy. See for yourself if it’s tru on 19th October.
