la fin des travaux et le début d’une belle histoire

Finalement, c’est avec 2 petites semaines de retard que notre nouvel hôtel va ouvrir, deux semaines qui valent l’attente ! Après plus de 18 mois de travaux, le bâtiment ne ressemble plus à un chantier, et des détails montrent que ça sera bientôt un lieu exceptionnel. La preuve en photos…

the building work finishes and a new chapter commences
So, the opening of our new hotel will actually be a couple of week later than we had anticipated, but those two weeks will be worth the wait! After over 18 months of complete renovation, the building now looks less and less like a construction site, and certain details already hint at wonderful things to come. We’re pretty wary of places designed by big names to hype them up, and the Cristal Room was decorated by French design demi-god Philippe Starck, so it was with a healthy amount of scepticism that we decided nonetheless decided to treat ourselves to lunch there. And it turned out rather well!

Généralement, nous sommes assez méfiants à propos des lieux qui attirent le public grâce à une célébrité du design. Le Cristal Room ayant été entièrement décoré par Philippe Starck, considéré comme un dieu, c’est avec pas mal de scepticisme (bien que très attirés par le lieu lui même) que nous avons décidé d’aller déjeuner dans ce restaurant qui promet une note assez élevée. Nous avons été très agréablement étonnés.
