We visit Pianos Nebout, one of the last remaining piano restorers in France
It’s like stepping back in time, in a tiny passageway near the very edge of Montmartre, where a family-run business had been restoring pianos for nearly 100 years. We contacted Pianos Nebout when looking for a Pleyel piano for La Belle Juliette, and it was great to be able to go and see the restoration work in progress…

C’est un endroit hors du temps, dans un petit passage non loin de la Place Clichy, où une société familiale restaure avec beaucoup d’amour des pianos anciens. Pianos Nebout existe depuis bientôt 100 ans, et nous avons fait appel à eux pour restaurer un Pleyel pour La Belle Juliette. Voici notre petite visite guidée…

Rembrandt and the Face of Jesus, an exhibition at the Louvre from 20th April – 18th July 2011
This exhibition of paintings organised in conjunction with the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Detroit Institute of Arts show images of Christ that were completely new for their time, painted by Rembrandt and his students.
