Wint a print signed by Damien Hirst!

Art and Culture

The complete spot paintings 1986–2011 is an exhibition being held simultaneously in every Gagosian Gallery in the world, including Paris. And if you visit them all in time, you’ll earn a print signed by the artist himself!

So, you’ve always wanted to come to Paris, but why stop yourself there? You could always continue on to visit New York, Beverley Hills, London, Rome, Athens, Geneva and Hong Kong before 18th February 2012 and earn yourself a signed Damien Hirst print by checking into the eleven Gagosian Galleries along your way.

Perhaps selling the print would pay for the air tickets? Damien Hirst is pretty hot right now, after all…

The exhibition (as you may have gathered) is all about spots of colour, 300 paintings in all ‘made’ by Hirst over the past 25 years (his workshop churns them out apparently. He’s only painted five of them himself) and lent by over private collectors in over 20 countries.

To tie in with the exhibition, a catalogue is being published mid-February 2012 with over 300 paintings (out of around 1,400 that exist). Cost: 150 euros. Available on BookDepository here.

You can also buy your own print or even a Damien Hirst skateboard here (£480 / $740).Rather cheaper (i.e. free) is the Gagosian iPad app (get it here) that will give more info about the exhibition (once issue 3 is ready very shortly) with over 90 spot paintings to explore, plus interactive content about Richard Serra, Jeff Koons, Andy Warhol, Richard Prince and Roy Lichtenstein !

The Damien Hirst exhibition is at the Gagosian Gallery Paris (here) until 18th February 2012
