After starting a promising career in England, Dalou came back to Paris where the city council ordered was to become one of his most famous pieces, le Triomphe de la République, which can still be see on place de la Nation. Success came immediately, and numerous other commissions with it.

With nearly 400 pieces by the artist to be see at the Petit Palais, you’ll be able to see sculptures of course, but also paintings, drawings and photos, the vast majority of which have never been shown before, for a thorough overview of Dalou’s many talents.
