Paris is rightly proud of its gardens – in September there’s the “Fête des Jardins” garden festival, and in May we have Rendez-vous aux jardins, inviting you to explore the city’s green spaces.

This year (which also celebrates master garden planner Le Nôtre) the event is highlighting garden designers and their work(s of art), with nearly 50 events happening in town!

We have all the details…The weekend of 31st May  2013, you are going to love exploring Paris and its gardens.

Near our hotels we have – of course – the Jardin des Plantes, with eight special events on the Saturday and Sunday. You can also discover the Cluny Museum garden and terrace, and we’re particularly intrigued by the Musée du Vivant (open specially for the event), where you can see an exhibition of exceptional 19th century photos of trees from around the world displayed in their historic library, or go up to the roof and visit the vegetable garden they have up there (you have to sign up in advance for both events).Elsewhere, there are gided visits of the Jardin du Luxembourg, the garden of the Eugène Delacroix museum and the sculpture garden at the Musée Zadkine. Sounds good!

Rendez-vous aux jardins runs from 31st May – 2nd June 2013 (some venues closed Friday – check individual listings)
