Salvados – an exhibition and a catalogue.
Be part of the project and we’ll give you presents!

Salvados will be a photo exhibition at la Belle Juliette starting 21st April 2014, showing dogs that have been saved by volunteer groups from torture (or worse) in Spain. Two races in particular – podencos and galgos – and mistreated in the most horrific ways – usually by hunters – despite the fact they are incredibly sweet and handsome dogs.

Mathias de Lattre‘s beautiful photos have to be seen as prints, but we also want to publish a catalogue of the exhibition, and that costs quite a lot of money. That’s why we’re asking for your help via crowdfunding site KissKissBankBank (much like Kickstarter). In exchange you’ll get gifts and the eternal thanks of these beautiful dogs!

Here’s all the info.

For a year now, Mathias has been taking photos of these incredible dogs that were either encountered by chance or thanks to the non-profit groups that help save them. The photos are always taken at the dog’s home, and the poses are often extraordinary – just look at the elegance of Gazhal above, or the effortless class of Doug below.

If you help us, the catalogue will include all the photos in the exhibition, plus a few more that there wasn’t room to show. Depending on how much you decide to contribute, you’ll receive our heartfelt thanks, a signed catalogue, printed enlargements of a photo and even a night at one of our hotels with your portrait taken by Mathias!

The money raised by selling the catalogue will partly go to the non-profit groups (and there are at least four of them) who save these dogs every day. There are more details on the presentation page for the project.

For more info, the project page is just here. Thanks so much for helping!
