Hedi Slimane Sonic exhibition at the Fondation Pierre Bergé – Yves Saint Laurent until 11th January 2015
Fifteen years of Slimane’s rock photos – mostly studio portraits – are being shown for the first time…
Here’s all the info.
Accompanying the exhibition of stars such as Lou Reed, Amy Winehouse and Keith Richards (plus youngsters like Pete Doherty), a video installation will show the Californian and London-based music cycles in documentary form (and in black and white, obviously).
Several talks are also lined up (in French) – “Le Rock’n’roll: from marginality to Pop art“, “Act naturally: rockers on-screen“, “From glamour doll to riot girl: the dead ends and side allies of femininity in rock“… More infoinformations here.
Of course it’s not really a surprise that the Fondation Pierre Bergé – Yves Saint Laurent would host Slimane’s exhibition – he went back to work for Yves Saint Laurent in 2012 – but we’d like to know how he find the time for fashion and photography. Now that’s talent…
