Siobhán McDonald isn’t afraid to mix the scintific and artistic. Her works explore the fundamental notion of evolution and the earth’s ecosystem.

An expedition to the Arctic in 2015 opened her eyes to the effects of human activity on the planet. She has also collaborated with the European Space Agency and the et le Collège des Sciences de l’UCD College of Science to anchor her work in serious scientific fact.

The exhibition presents a dozen pieces, including paintings inspired by photographic plates found on polar exploration sites dating from the 19th century, Unknown Landscapes.
