A daffodil for Curie on the place du Panthéon until 18th March 2017

The annual event to fight cancer, Une jonquille pour Curie is in full swing on the place du Panthéon at the moment (i.e. just in front of the Hôtel des Grands Hommes and Hôtel les Dames du Panthéon).

It’s the perfect time to contribute to cancer research by giving a little money (which can also be done online), buy a daffodil and see much of place du Panthéon covered in yellow flowers!

Here’s all the info.

It’s the biggest money raiser of the year for our neighbour the Institut CurieUne jonquille pour Curie, with events all over the country, the most visible of which is on place du Panthéon, transformed into a sort of odd garden centre that sells only daffodils!

But that’s not all there is to see. There are also:

– musicians and groups playing,
– a collaborative work of art called the Arbre à Sourires (Smile Tree), where you can hang a photo tagged with #sourirecontrelecancer (a smile to fight cancer) and share it on the social networks. Local bank La Banque Populaire Rives de Paris will donate 1€ for every photo shared,
– smart bikes. For every km pedalled, Swiss Life will donate 1€ to the Institut Curie.
Hundreds of daffodils are also available to buy, a great way to brighten up your garden or living room while helping to fight cancer.

An online store also has a variety of items you can buy to help the cause.

There’s even an online ‘Daffodilometer’ that you can check out here with real time info of how much money has been collected, and more events are happening during the month of March – check out the map here.

Une jonquille pour Curie is on place du Panthéon (here) and elsewhere until 18th March 2017
