It’s time to celebrate vinyl – the physical format that came back from the dead to save the music industry – with the French version of Record Store Day – Disquaire Day!

For one day only you be able to find lots of limited edition vinyl at independent record stores, and there just happen to be quite a few near our hotels!

Here’s all the info.
It’s the best day of the year… if you’re a vinyl fanatic. Disquaire Day has lots of special edition releases on offer, and lots of events planned in the city’s numerous independent record stores.

Near our hotels for example, you can see four mini-concerts at Gibert Joseph between 3 and 6pm (it’s probably the biggest indy record store in town), there’s a 50s rock ‘n’ roll showcase by  de Cora Lynn at Culture Factory and a live show by the Tony Marlow Trio at Rock Paradise at 4pm.

Make sure you check out all our local record stores and make the most of this great day!

The festivities continue throughout the evening with special club nights all around town.

The nearest to us is at the Batofar, a large boat moored on the banks of the Seine in the 13th arrondissement. It will also be transformed into a record shop during the day (starting 10am)! All the info is here.
