A new exhibition in the Jardin des Plantes, just a few minutes away from our hotels, celebrates the incredible photography of the venerable magazine National Geographic.

Over 100 emblematic photos and six new videos are being presented in the exceptional setting of the Galerie de Minéralogie.

Here’s all the info.

Created by the National Geographic Society founded in 1888, the eponymous magazine has always fought to preserve nature by showing the most beautiful images of our wrold.

The magazine’s photographers have always searched for impressive images, and have even been behind a number of photographic innovations, notably in night shots.

The exhibition displays over 100 jaw-dropping photos presented in sic sections:

– Farther, higher, deeper
– In search of worlds disappeared
– Epic times
– The photographic adventure
– Approaching the animal world, and
– Iconic portraits from National Geographic
To accompany the exhibition, a book – National Geographic: 125 Years – is available with a large selection of photos from the (384 pages, £21 here from amazon.co.uk).
