For its fifteenth edition, with the theme of ‘sharing in the garden’ this year, the Rendez-vous aux jardins events has special events on offer and a few secret gardens specially open to explore over a lovely sunny weekend!

There’s a lot going on near our hotels so let’s dive in!
With the Jardin du Luxembourg and Jardin des Plantes just minutes from our hotels, our nature-loving guests are spoiled for choice.

This week this is particularly true, with Rendez-vous aux jardins, a selection of special events that is always interesting to check out. Here are a few suggestions nearby…

The Musée Zadkine has a trail to follow called “Essences et poésie”. Actor Jean-Marie Lehec will be in the museum’s gardens talking about trees that are like sculptures, and sculptures that are like trees.

The Musée du Vivant – AgroParisTech is specially open for the weekend with lots going on – A “Jazz en fleurs” concert, a biodiversity workshop, exhibitions by Josep Baqué and Adélaïde Corinus, a visit of their experimental vegetable garden on the roof, an exhibition about bees…

The photo exhibition about ‘extraordinary gardens’ continues on the railings of the  Jardin du Luxembourg. This may be your last chance to see it – the exhibition ends in a couple of weeks.

The Musée Delacroix will be pleased to show you round their pretty little garden, and there’s a repotting workshop for kids.

At the Musée Bourdelle you can take part in a ‘theatralised’ visit of the gardens while listening to texts by Jean Giono read by actor Thomas Sacksick.

There are also guided visits of the vast gardens of the Hôtel Matignon, which is not a hotel but a government ministry. The place is usually closed to the public, so you should make the most of the opportunity!
