Stay cool in Paris’ parks, 24 hours a day

Of course every room in our hotels has individual air conditioning for the summer, but what can you do if you’re walking round town and want to stay cool?

Well, the Paris city council has just announced that a lot of parks and gardens – more than ever before – will be open 24 hours a day starting 3rd July 2017, up until 3rd September.

Here’s all the info.

It’s amazing how some greenery can keep you cool and refreshed (as you probably know if you’ve stayed at the Hôtel Baume or Hôtel and Spa la Belle Juliette, with its lovely little garden and even a swimming spool!).

The Paris city council has just announced, after testing out the concept last year, that in addition to the 137 parks and gardens already open 24 hours a day, sixteen new green spaces will be added to the list from 3rd July – 3rd September 2017.

On the Left Bank, this includes the jardin des Grands Explorateurs (here, at the far end of the Jardin du Luxembourg), the Square Boucicaut (here), the Kellermann Park (here), le très beau parc Montsouris (here) and the André-Citroën park (here).

These Left Bank spots are now yours to enjoy 24 hours a day until 3rd September 2017. Make the most of them!

Below, you’ll find the map of all the green spaces around town that are open 24 hours a day. Apparently, over 50% of Paris’ parks and gardens are open non-stop now!
