To celebrate 150 years since the birth of Marie Curie, the Pantheon – in collaboration with the Curie Museum – presents a new exhibition about the first woman to have her remains placed there, the first woman to teach at the Sorbonne, the first woman to receive the Nobel Prize.

And it’s just opposite the Hôtel les Dames du Panthéon and Hôtel des Grands Hommes!

Here’s all the info.
Now the most famous female scientist in the world, Marie Curie has left us with an inestimable scientific and moral heritage. This new exhibition at the Pantheon, just minutes from our hotels, presents archives, vintage documents, scientific instruments and personal effects to explain the incredible life this amazing woman.

The exhibition starts in te north transept, continues in the crypt where Pierre and Marie Curie’s remains are stored, and finishes at the Curie Museum, 5 minutes away on foot.

French speakers can prepare their visit by listening to this programme on France Inter, with the participation of Marie Curie’s granddaughter who is now 90 years of age!

A play called Le Paradoxe des Jumeaux is currently being performed at Reine Blanche Theatre, with scientist and actress Elisabeth Bouchaud playing Marie Curie. More info (in French) here.
