The sales are perfect for making treating yourself with some smart purchases that won’t break the bank, but perhaps you didn’t know that they are also closely controlled in order to guarantee you the best bargains?

– The sales happen only twice a year, for a period of six weeks each time

– The dates are define by official decree, and also not only to shops but also e-commerce sites

– It’s against the law to use the word ‘soldes’ (sales) outside the official dates

– Each reduced article must also show its original price, unless a uniform reduction is being applied to a number of articles

– The articles must have been in stock for at leat a month before the sales
