‘Rendez-vous aux jardins’, a garden festival from 1st-3rd June 2018

The Nature Festival was only last week, but forget that – now it’s time for Rendez-vous aux jardins, another event that hopes to attract you to your local green space with the promise of special events and music.

There are over 3,800 events planned all over Europe, and lots going on near our hotels, so here’s a selection…

There’s going to be amazing weather this weekend, and what better place to be than in a cool park or garden?

Rendez-vous aux jardins has lots of special events programmed, and with all the great green spaces near our hotels, it’s no surprise that there’s a lot to see and do.

For example, the BNF (National Library) is opening its private garden/forest for the weekend (it’s closed for the rest of the year).

There are outdoor concerts at Parc Montsouris, and opposite at the Cité Universitaire (that we visited for you recently) you can go on a guided visit of their eco-friendly park.

The Curie Museum is allowing you to visit Marie Curie’s laboratory and explore the gardens, and not far away, the Zadkine Museum has a ‘theatralised’ visit of the sculpture garden on offer (you can read our article about the museum here).

The Bourdelle Museum invites you to discover its garden, there are concerts at the Parc Georges Brassens, and the Delacroix Museum‘s garden will be visited by writers, reading new texts they’ve written.

And if that’s not enough, the garden at the Hôtel de Matignon will be specially open, there are dance lessons on offer on the Champs de Mars near the Eiffel Tower, a jazz concert on the square Violette

Quite a line-up for the Left Bank! Of course there are events all round town too, and you check out the full programme here. French speakers might also like to peruse the press release for the Paris area at the bottom of this article.
