Johnny Hallyday exhibition at the Joseph Gallery until 23rd September 2018

The French public’s favourite rocker (who died last December) is being celebrated with an exhibition of photos, stage costumes, guitars…
Exposition Johnny Hallyday à la Galerie Joseph jusqu'au 23 septembre 2018
Directly inspired by the book ‘Le Regard des Autres‘ (The Regard of Others) by Patrice Gaulupeau, the Johnny Hallyday exhibition shows national treasure / icon / rock god Johnny through photos taken by celebrate dphotographers such as Raymond Depardon, Patrick Demarchelier, Bettina Rheims and Studio Harcourt.

In all, almost 200 photos are on show, many of them apparently never seen before.

The exhibition has also been lent some special items that used to belong to Johnny, including:

– his Harley-Davidson,
– some of his cars
– stage costumes including one designed by Jean Paul Gaultier and a white tuxedo by Christian Dior,
– fim posters (Johnny starred in many a movie), and
– for the first time ever, three costumes bought by Johnny in Las Vegas and adapted to fit him because… they were initially intended for Elvis Presley!

All that has a price of course – admission is a hefty 12€! But of course, when you’re a fan, money is no obstacle…
