Fans of Puccini will be delighted to hear that after a tour of some of France’s most beautiful monuments (Sceaux, Carcassonne, Saint-Germain-en-Laye…), Opéra en plein air is finishing off its season in the breathtaking courtyard of Invalides.

Celebrated conductor Yannis Pouspourikas will be leading the orchestra, and this is the first time that multi-award-winning French actress Agnès Jaoui has directed an opera, which should prove interesting.

For such a rare event, it is perhaps only logical that seat prices are a little on the high side, starting at 45€ (actually, 65€ on Friday and Saturday) and going up to 105€ per person.

There is also a VIP offer including a few (but not too many) glasses of champagne, a buffet and even a blanket (that they lend you, not give you) for 225€. ?

You might also like to know that 15% of profits from the Sunday show are being donated to the charity Vaincre le cancer (beat cancer).
