Pop-up book fair at the 6th arrondissement town hall, 18th January 2020

For one day only, twenty Parisian bookshops specialising in rare and old books will be reunited in a special pop-up event at the town hall of the 6th arrondissement, near our hotels, with a programme of special events including book signings, an exhibition, talks…

Librairie-Capsule à la Mairie du 6ème le 18 janvier 2020

The Mairie du 6ème has prepared a treat for anyone interested in literature this Saturday!

Organised by two specialist bookshops – les Amazones and Villa Browna – with the help of l’Écume des Pages, the Librairie Capsule event is a day that celebrates old and rare books, as well as young writers and even book illustrators, like the special guest artist Claire Illouz.

At 11.30am there are interviews with Gérard Bonal, Frédéric Maget and Valentine del Moral, conducted by journalist Josyane Savigneau, a member of the jury for the Prix Femina.

At 2.30pm there’s a talk with artist Claire Illouz, and at 4pm Frédéric Maget returns for a group discussion with young artists presenting their most recent works created specially for the Capsule.
