The Baume, a hotel that loves fashion!

Located in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the Hotel Baume offers its guests a taste of the 1930s with its Art Déco interior. The design of the 35 rooms is inspired by this period and used in five different themes: fashion, cinema, jewellery, architecture and 1930s clubs.

Inspired by the atmosphere that followed the Roaring Twenties, the seven ‘fashion’ rooms reflect the French elegance and chic of the era.

The interior design features shot silk wall coverings – very fashionable at the time – which catch the light and highlight the walls, as well as greys, blacks and powder pinks. These colours can also be seen in the original engravings from the 1932 collection of maison Pernet by Madame Jeannest which are on the walls.

The accent is on detail, the beauty of the materials and the fabrics. The wardrobes doors are inspired by the famous staircase at Chanel on rue Cambon. The mirror above the bed evokes the designer Schiaparelli and her feather dresses. The upholstered chairs reference boudoirs and beauty salons, the lamps are inspired by fascinators and hats of the time…

Each room has its own style, with refined luxury that mixes elegance from the past and present.
