Mix ‘panorama’ and ‘Vendôme’ (as in ‘place’) and you get Vendôrama, an exhibition celebrating sparkly jewellery maker Boucheron which is celebrating its 160th anniversary this year, starting off with this free event at the Monnaie de Paris, near our hotels.

Jewellery expert Boucheron looks back over 160 years of history with the exhibition Vendôrama at the Monnaie de Paris, from its first shop on place Vendôme in 1893 to the present day.

A celebration of the company’s history and unique savoir-faire, the exhibition is also an immersive experience mixing modern architecture and augmented reality, showing the latest innovations in a specially-built space reminiscent of the grand buildings often built for universal expositions.

The exhibition is free, but it’s better to book your ticket online before going nonetheless.
