The biggest firework display in Europe is in Paris, or rather just outside the city limits (the metro still takes you there) in the Parc de Saint-Cloud, opposite a huge, beautiful fountain called la Grande Cascade. The event is called le Grand Feu de Saint-Cloud,and this year they are celebrating their tenth edition!

Every year, 23,000 people go to see the show which lasts and hour and forty minutes, and such a huge event obviously has a cost, namely 32€ to stand and watch, and between 59€ and 89€ for a seat. Gosh!

But wait – there are even more expensive tickets…

Real VIPs will have:

– a seat in a special area
– a buffet with nibbles
– open bar
– champagne (notice that they don’t say ‘open bar with champagne’, so don’t think you’ll be drinking bubbly all night)
– a blanket to stop you from catching cold during the show, and
– a chance to meet the fireworkers (?) after the show!

In order to benefit from all this, all you need to do is book a ticket costing 258€ per person ?
