Mary Cassatt,

Le Musée Jacquemart-André tells us that during her lifetime, Mary Cassatt was considered the greatest American painter. Perhaps it’s because she spent over 60 years of her life in France! 😛

Peter Knapp – Dancing in the Street exhibition at the Docks, 9th March – 10th June 2018

Swiss photographer Peter Knapp is the star of this new exhibition at the Docks – Cité de la Mode et du Design, on the banks of the Seine, not far from our hotels!

With over a hundred photos on display, the majority of them previously unseen, you’ll be able to check out Knapp’s graphic, experimental take on fashion from the 1960s and 70s, a style that made his reputation.

Foujita exhibition at the Maillol Museum

We love the Roaring Twenties (just take a look at the Hotel Baume if you don’t believe us), so this new exhibition at the Maillol Museum – not far from our hotels – is definitely for us.

Fifty years after the death of the artist Foujita, over a hundred paintings are on show, showing the particular sensibility of a man influenced by two very different cultures (France and Japan), including all his favourite themes – cats, women, self-portraits…

David Goldblatt retrospective at the Pompidou Centre, 21st February – 13th May 2018

The Pompidou Centre presents the first French retrospective of the work of photographer David Goldblatt, with his most famous series and other lesser-know collections.
