For three and a half months, the Centre Pompidou will be showing the entire body of work of the film-maker that Michael Powell had described as "the Goya of 10th Avenue" (fictions, documentaries, musicals, clips, commercials, short and full-length films), thus paying tribute to one of the most outstanding figures in contemporary cinema, acting as a link between classical and post-modern eras and the genuine historical conscience of world cinema.
