The Aquarium of Trocadero in Paris will be re-opened at the beginning of April 2006

After the Petit Palais, the Grand Palais, the Muséé d'Art Moderne
Built in 1878 for the World Fair this aquarium was the largest of Europe. It has been closed in 1985 for important works of renovation. Located on a hill of Chaillot, facing the Tower Eiffel.
We will be able to discover 15.000 fish of 500 different spiecies like hippocampi, clownfishes, rascasses, stone fishes, but also of the spectacular spieces like the sharks and the lines. The fish will be in 43 basins, of which the greatest fact 33 metres length. The filling of the basins has needed 4 million liters of water. The access by a tunnel will simulate a walk under the sea.
In more of the aquarium, in a whole of 3 cinema theatres (CinéAqua) we will be able to assist at film projections in an underwater environment. Finally we will find a Japanese restaurant (!!!) and a bar.
