A historical and cultural building :

During the 16th century, François the 1rst, built Paris City Hall (Hôtel de Ville) in a Renaissance style.
After a huge fire in 1871, Paris City Hall was built another time in the same way.

Its exterior frontages are decorated with carved shapes, witnesses of the Renaissance style.



We let you discover the whole refined interior decoration: you can see frescos, paintings, statues linked to the Greek and Roman mythology.

We introduce you the master of this City Hall, Mr Delanoë. In the frame of a press conference, he was there to speak about « Paris Cinema ». He was surrounded by Charlotte Rampling and Costa Gavras.

Once a week, you can visit Paris City Hall for free. You have to call on Friday to know the accurate date and to book your visit. It is not possible to visit it during the week-end.
