Jazz à la Villette is a musical celebration with an emphasis on innovative and experimental jazz, held outdoors in the Parc de la Villette in Paris and at the music centre of Cité de la Musique, right in the heart of the park.
There are free open-air concerts in the Parc de la Villette, followed by night-time concerts in the Concert Hall of the Cité de la Musique. Highlights of the line-up for 2006 include Mingus Dynasty, Omar, Saul Williams, Archie Shepp and Guru's Jazzmatazz.
