"Les Arènes de Lutèce" in Paris
For our first trip in the Mouffetard area, I’m going to show you “les Arènes de Lutèce”, a historic Parisian place...
Entrance
Nestled in the fifth area of Paris, Les Arènes de Lutèce was discovered in 1869.
If you visit it, you’ll find a quiet and lovely place. The height of the stands gives a great view of the amphitheatre.
Centre of the Amphitheatre
You’ll be surprised by its architecture and its garden in the heart of Paris.
You can visit it, but you can also relax , read a French novel, have lunch ( in summer), and why not play pétanque (typical French sport) in the centre of the amphitheatre.

Garden

A statue dedicated to Gabriel de Mortillet
Where can you find it?
