Silouhette short films festival, Each night from 2nd – 9th September
:: Art and Cultural Information
Discover the future talents of French filmmaking!

If you're in Paris early September and like new short films, the Festival Silhouette is for you. It's an outdoor film festival held in the magnificent setting of the Buttes Chaumont park. And it's completely free.
Each night from 2nd – 9th September, you'll be treated to a concert at 8pm, followed by a selection of short films at 9pm. Light refreshments will be sold to help pay for the festival's costs (come with an empty stomach, they say!).
You can check out the list of films on their site: www.association-silhouette.com
Also present will be street art installation by C215, and representatives of Trop c'est Trop (Enough is Enough), a collective campaigning against prison overcrowding.
And there's even a free launch party on 30th September at La Bellevilloise, with concerts and DJs. La Bellevilloise is a huge exhibition space, concert venue and restaurant in a lovely old building. If you've never been, you should check it out (19-21 rue Boyer, 20th arrondissement).
Let's hope the weather holds out for them. A lot of things might be expensive in Paris, but for once here's something completely free; so go along and support them!
