I say that because before the exhibition I didn't even know where The Republic of Uzbekistan was. I had to look it up! Shame on me...

Currently on show in the lobby and bar of the Hôtel Eiffel Park, the portraits give us a glimpse of unusual costumes and faces. I was expecting the shots to be fairly miserable, but in fact a great joy is shown. This is a people who smile and make the best of what they have. A lesson for us all?
