It's a small one (just one room basically), and also a not very subtle marketing ploy by artvinyl, a (decidedly clever) framing system for record sleeves. Nevertheless, we thought this was an interesting little venture, and went along to check it out.

The exhibition takes place at the head office of Technopol, an association that aims to defend electronic music and the culture surrounding it. They organise Paris' techno parade every year in September, for example.

As well as the month-long exhibition of record sleeves, chosen by some of Paris' leading DJ shops, Technopol will be organising a series of events including workshops teaching you how to mix with either vinyl or digital formats, a conference-debate about "Vinyl and the record industry in the age of dematerialisation" and a series of live mixes every Thursday, with three DJs from different labels or shops playing from 7-10pm.

You can also pick up a leaflet to vote for your favourite vinyl art of the year. If your suggestion wins, you could win three artvinyl frames!
