Three more things to see and do
this Bastille Day!

Our favourite things

We haven’t had time to tell you about every event happening on 14th July 2017 – otherwise known as Bastille Day – in Paris! Time to give you the details about a couple of unmissable events and one piece of advice that will make the whole day a lot simpler!

1. The military parade

The traditional military parade on the Champs-Élysées starts at 10am, but you’d better arrive quite a bit earlier if you want a decent seat.

All the info is here.

2. The ‘Concert de Paris’

The firework display starts at 11pm, but before that there’s the Concert de Paris (Paris Concert) at the Eiffel Tower with the National Orchestra of France and the Radio France Choir.

On the setlist – Berlioz, Puccini, Verdi, Mozart and a dozen others – 21 songs over two hours, and it’s free!

The 2017 14th July fireworks display at the Eiffel Tower

Our favourite things

Our national holiday – 14th July – is coming up, and celebrations will be happening all across town, with a military parade, firemen’s balls, a free concert and of course the main event: the 14th fireworks display at the Eiffel Tower.

And as Paris is hoping to host the 2024 Olympic Games, this year’s theme is Olympic values.

We have the starting time and program for you (spoiler: it includes Star Wars and Frank Sinatra !)
