There are two main garden events in Paris each year – Rendez-vous aux jardins is held in Spring, and La Fête des Jardins is in September, with a base in the jardin de Bercy, and over 150 other sites taking part.
Expect guided visits, gardening workshops, exhibitions, concerts and several gardens open specially for the event.

The final step in reclaiming part of the banks of the Seine back from motor traffic, the plants have started to be planted on the five artificial islands on the Seine, our new floating garden with 60 trees and 3,000 other plants….
Come and support over 50 farmers with this out of the ordinary event – a mini-farm of cows, sheep and hens in the heart of Paris, with workshops about how to shear and milk, a giant picnic, a bar and – er – ‘disco soups’.

This posh, temporary garden centre (or ‘garden and design exhibition space and sales area’) is back in the Tuileries gardens for its tenth year, with loads of ideas for you outdoor spaces – useful stuff like the new terrace and balcony section, and some frankly odd things like « the Jardins Jardin rose sponsored by Philippe Starck » (???)… (lire la suite / continue reading)
Paris is rightly proud of its gardens – in September there’s the « Fête des Jardins » garden festival, and in May we have Rendez-vous aux jardins, inviting you to explore the city’s green spaces.
This year (which also celebrates master garden planner Le Nôtre) the event is highlighting garden designers and their work(s of art), with nearly 50 events happening in town!
