Pianist Eric Ferrand-N’Kaoua, who looks after our ‘conversations’ around the piano of La Belle Juliette has chosen to bring together tradition and modernity with an original recital dedicated to Liszt and his transcriptions of not only Berlioz and Wagner, but also Mendelssohn, Chopin, Gershwin and Martial Solal.

La Fête de l’Humanité in a park just outside Paris,

You may not have heard of this three days festival that takes place outdoors in a suburb close to Paris. Joanna Newsom and Björk stay at La Belle Juliette

It seems there’s something pretty musical about La Belle Juliette! As well as our piano and harp concerts, and the specially chosen, exclusive selection of music that plays on the ground floor (changing throughout the day: calm at breakfast, diverse in the afternoon, feistier in the evening…), we also attract the occasional exceptionally gifted musician. :-)

For example, for her Paris concert at the Trianon this week, the brilliant Californian singer and harpist Joanna Newsom stayed with us, and Björk spent almost a week at the hotel, using our great salon for interviews and more… (lire la suite / continue reading)

There probably isn’t another jazz festival like it in the world, mixing old school with new school with the school of the future: Cinematic Orchestra, Archie Shepp, ESG, Poni Hoax, Maceo Parker, ?uestlove, Macy Gray, Amp Fiddler and even Meshell Ndegeocello qui playing a set of Prince songs!
