Biography
Born in Santiago du Chili in 1965, Rodrigo started doing photography at the age of 14 with a plastic camera and a homemade wooden enlarger.
He arrived in France in 1982, settling first in Brittany for a while, where he took a series of personal photos on the theme of "Brittany countryfolk" which was published in the newspaper "Ouest France".
He next moved to Paris, where his natural curiosity led him to diversify his work, taking photos for catalogues by artists, painters, sculptors an designers. He also worked as an on-set photographer for film shoots, as well as taking photos of plays in theatres.
In November 2003 his photos were shown at the Espace Henry Miller in Clichy, and later at the Boutique Éphémère in Boulogne in December 2006.
He is currently pursuing his personal works inspired by the city, its inhabitants and its stories, whilst also trying to add a new perspective where the creation of a scene for a photo supersedes the usual approach of waiting for the "right moment".
